A charming boutique hotel with an authentic art deco charm. The en suite rooms were updated and had a cozy atmosphere. The location is superb, just a block away from the main transit services. The pub area was lively and the Wednesday "free" BBQ was a delicious touch. I highly recommend this hotel for a memorable stay.

The location was very good and the bed large. Chow tory street served dishes within 700 feet off the hotel. We liked staying at cambridge. Wi Fi worked flawlessly.

Was a good location, handy to entertainment and shopping and sports. Good kitchen and meal initiatives. Good place to watch the test with friends.
Parking was a problem for an out of towner.

The Staff Were Really Friendly :) Only Problem With Our Room Was The Window Kept Banging About From The Wind So We Stuck SOme Pamphlets In The Window. But Thats To Be Expected With The Wind In Wellington. The Room Was Really Really Clean And The Bed Was Quite Comfy. Thankyou :)
The Banging Window..

The bed was comfortable and the bathroom very nicely done up.
I did not realise that the hotel had a pub on the bottom story - the very loud music was not much fun at 4am!

The Cambridge Hotel is in the centre of Wellington. Just around the corner of Courtney place, which is well known for its restaurants and bars. The airport bus is close to the hotel. It is easy to walk to Te Papa, Oriental Bay, Cuba street and all the shopping you possibly wish to do. The hotel has a good priced breakfast and the paper to read in the morning. The service is excellent and I would go back.
If I had to say anything it would be the loud music on Saturday night. The band played well in the night. This is to be expected, I guess, because you are in the middle of the City. This was the only night it happened. I stayed Thursday till Monday.

The location is great and central to everything. Loved the friendliness of all staff and how helpful they were. Room was comfortable clean and tidy.
Was a little disappointed in a couple of things.Firstly I went to have a shower and the soap from the previous customers was in the soap holder which I thought was a bit gross.Second one of the windows didn't lock which didn't make us feel that secure with our belongings as it opened on to a fire escape and third the main light to the room was very dull and the connection had come away from the ceiling which I would register as a hazard. On saying this I would happily come back these things are minor and can be fixed

They didn't have free WiFi. I could get it outside on the street with no trouble.

The room wasn't properly cleaned--there was a dirty wine bottle in the room when I got there. Also, the towel rack was broken and had fallen on the floor. The bed was too soft. The window could have better insulation as the street noise was readily heard
